We will meet before sunrise and head to Pinnacles Overlook. Once we've finished our morning session we will hike the 1.6 mile Stony Man Nature Trail to reach the Stony Man cliffs, the second highest point in the park. Later in the day we'll venture over to The Limberlost Trail, a gently winding walkway of crushed green stone, passes through the remains of old-growth hemlocks before crossing over Whiteoak Canyon Run on a wooden bridge. We'll wrap up the day with sunset at Crescent Rock Overlook.
Sunday, Oct 21st, 2018
This morning our sunrise will be at Bacon Hollow Overlook. We'll then head over to the Rapidan Camp, a national historic landmark thanks to President Herbert Hoover. We'll rest up for sunset at The Oaks Overlook.
Monday, Oct 22nd, 2018
We’ll complete our workshop with some time on the Appalachian National scenic trail and then over to Dark Hollow Falls. Once we finish session, we’ll head back to the hotel, pack up, say our goodbyes until the next photographic adventure!
Weather and trail conditions will be considered each day, so we may be having to switch days and locations around for an optimal photographic and travel experience. Breakfast is included each day at the hotel. Lunch and dinner are your responsibility. We recommend that you pickup and bring your own water and snacks for your room and for in-field shooting.
