Arrival & Check-in
Meet & Greet, Tour Overview, Q & A
Sunset & Evening Shoot at The Chapel of The Holy Cross
Saturday, Mar 10th, 2018
We will meet early in the morning and make our way to the West Fork of Oak Creek Trail in the Coconino National Forest. Once we arrive we’ll begin our 3 mile hike into the canyon. We’ll stroll beside a pleasant little stream that ripples along the canyon floor and pause as often as our guests would like to photograph the many vistas along the way. Get ready to look up, way up, at the dizzying cliffs that tower above the canyon floor and fall in love as many do with Oak Creek Canyon. West Fork is fantastic throughout the year. We’ll be there in springtime, when migrating songbirds decorate the trees with flashes of brilliance. We’ll return back into the heart of Sedona for a little break and personal time. We’ll grab a bite to eat and head over to the Crescent Moon Ranch area with views of Cathedral Rock for sunset. From here we'll be able to shoot across the creek, serving as a foreground for your composition of Cathedral Rock at sunset.
Sunday, Mar 11th, 2018
Sedona is the perfect place to take in a sunrise thanks to the long distance viewing and natural rock formations. Airport Mesa has views from Airport Road, where we’ll park and hike up a trail. Once we pick a spot we will see the sun rise over Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte in the distance! It’s a great location to take in a multitude of naturally amazing views. After sunrise we’ll head over to the Soilder Pass Trail Head and take a short hike to Devil’s Kitchen and on to the Seven Sacred Pools. We’ll return back to our hotel for a little break and personal time. We’ll grab a bite to eat before heading over to Schnebly Hill Vista for a variety of sunset vistas.
Monday, Mar 12th, 2018
We’ll complete our workshop with some time inside Red Rock Canyon State Park. Once we finish our morning session, we’ll head back to the hotel, packup, say our goodbyes until the next photographic adventure!
Weather and trail conditions will be considered each day, so we may be having to switch days and locations around for an optimal photographic and travel experience. Breakfast is included each day at the hotel. Lunch and dinner are your responsibility. We recommend that you pickup and bring your own water and snacks for your room and for in-field shooting.
